In the second quarter, Redblacks’ Lorenzo Mauldin sacked MBT, and though there was no jersey tug, the Argos threw a challenge flag, but the play stood.Įither way, there’s no consistency from the officials, whether it was Saturday’s game or any CFL game, for that matter. The whole tree theme is kind of cute but honestly we were too caught up with the colors, numbers and suns on the bottom that we didn't pay too much attention to all the tree details. Is it fun to spend some time playing it with your friends and family and moan and groan when they ruin your strategy. Is it the most exciting game in the world? No. Overall, this is a great little game to have in your collection. Maybe put suns on the opposite side too so they are fully symmetric? Not huge but would have been nice to have number on the opposite corners. One teeny tiny little complaint - the numbers on the cards are only on the top of the cards (not like normal face cards) so we had to turn the cards around every time new ones were dealt out. This helps things not get too drawn out with fewer players.

We also liked how the game gets adjusted based on the amount of people that are playing. Game rules fit nicely in the box and had some pretty good examples to help describe different scenarios. Cards and tokens were actually pretty decent while the game box felt very cheap.

The game is made of middle ground materials. It does take a minute to rewire your brain into not wanting to win every turn but to rather win the whole round (which sometimes means forcing yourself to lose). It's a great family friendly card game that doesn't take a while to explain. The game recommends ages 14+ although we had a 10 year old playing with no problem. This made for some interesting game play and made getting to three points slightly more challenging. Other rounds, back to back, there were no winners. This made for some interesting games where sometimes you would win by accident. Just when you thought you had played the round right, you get forced to play the wrong cards and fail. Then, it might get completely destroyed at the end by the last two or three turns. Strategy begins at the very beginning of the round but slowly starts to change mid way through.
